‘t Rozenpoortje
Playgroup ‘t Rozenpoortje
‘t Rozenpoortje playgroup based in Vrije School de Driestroom has an anthroposophical background. Up to four mornings a week, toddlers aged two and a half to four years come here to discover themselves, others and the world around them. In our way of working, we are inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s ideas, among others. We use natural play materials, natural colours in the rooms and toys that stimulate the children’s imagination. The programme changes with the seasons. This means that the songs, stories and activities give children an experience so that they learn about the seasons and nature. This ensures that when toddlers move on to the Driestroom, they are already used to the way of working. And this contributes to a smooth transition to primary school.
Space for play & creativity
A child’s foundation is formed in the first six years. So a toddler benefits from freedom to investigate, explore and get to know himself in relation to the world around him. We do this through play, creativity and, for example, storytelling. Think of movement games during circle time and activities in the field of dance, music, movement and visual education. In this way, we work on the different levels of development of a child: the body, the senses, the intellect, creativity, intuition and consciousness. We alternate internally-oriented activities with externally-oriented ones, so that there is always a moment of rest.
Opening days and times
‘t Rozenpoortje is open four mornings a year for 40 weeks from 08.30 to 13.00. We are closed on Wednesdays and during all school holidays.
